A Vintage Actress Fabric Memo Board

I recently found an old box full of paper items going as far back as the 1920's some are brochures of travel destinations and newspaper clippings, and old vintage paper doll cutout clothes.
I decided to make something of them so that the pictures of the actresses from 1925 could be safely viewed without having to worry about them crumbling up. So this is what I did.

I made copies of the old vintage photos.
I made a fabric  memory or memo board.

Now the vintage pictures of the Actresses can safely be hung and looked at and enjoyed daily.

The one great thing about this little memo board is  this. It centers you. It awakens you to the fact that there was a calmer, quieter time long ago when the world didn't spin so so fast. To remember that when you are checking over your list of a million things to do. and maybe grumbling a bit because it's all so overwhelming . You look at these pretty actresses, and thank your lucky starts that you are here. That you have a list of things to do and that you can do them. ..and that you can slow down.

You can get one in my etsy shop VintageAndCottage
Or convo me thru etsy for a custom designed one with the fabric of your choosing

  8. How fun! I love the fabric that you used! I have a memo board, though I've never tried making one. Sounds like it would be a neat project to try. Saw you over at Flaunt it Friday :)

  9. Great idea for protecting the originals while still enjoying the antiquity. I have a lot of vintage and antique ephemera and is does become quite brittle over time.

Thanks for linking to my party. I would love to have you join me for one, or all three, of my parties each week.
